For the past several seasons, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been one of the NFL’s most exciting players to watch thanks to his dual-threat skills, but he also has a reputation for being a player who can’t lead his team to that big win that would get it over the hump.

Even though the Ravens exited the playoffs too early again this season, they finally got Jackson some major help in the form of running back Derrick Henry, who turned in a monstrous season.

By all accounts, Henry enjoyed playing with Jackson, and he recently gave the two-time NFL MVP some big praise.

“He’s one of one for sure,” Henry told Micah Parsons, via B/R Gridiron. “… As a person and a player, he’s just different.”

Henry registered 1,921 rushing yards and tied for an NFL-high with 16 rushing touchdowns this season, and that production earned him his fifth Pro Bowl selection and some serious consideration for Offensive Player of the Year.

It was reminiscent of 2020, when he became one of a handful of running backs to reach 2,000 rushing yards in a single season and led the league with 17 rushing touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Jackson had his best statistical season in 2024 with 4,172 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns and 915 rushing yards, and he narrowly lost out in the balloting for the MVP award to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Despite losing in heartbreaking fashion to the Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Ravens should be a strong team again next season, if not a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
