The Baltimore Ravens are in the midst of an offseason that could shape their Super future as a Super Bowl contender after a strong 2024 season.
The team’s general manager, Eric DeCosta, has been vocal about the need to address key areas, particularly the safety position.
“If we can add another safety, obviously, it would be really good for us,” DeCosta said on the team’s website. “It gives us that multiplicity on defense and the ability to do a lot of different things. Kyle becomes that sort of [Swiss Army] knife again.”
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently highlighted the Ravens as a potential landing spot for San Francisco 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga.
“Baltimore had typically used a three-safety rotation in its secondary but lost Geno Stone last offseason and benched Marcus Williams late in 2024. Partnering Hufanga with standout Kyle Hamilton could create a nightmare for opposing offenses.”
Knox suggested that Hufanga’s versatility and playmaking ability could be exactly what the Ravens need to elevate their defense to the next level.

Currently, Hufanga is an unrestricted free agent, and his contract situation is one to watch.
In 2024, his cap hit was just over $4.9 million, but with his impressive track record, including a first-team All-Pro honor in 2022, he is expected to command a much higher salary in his next deal.
The Ravens, with their projected cap space, could be in a position to make a competitive offer to secure his services.
Adding Hufanga to their roster could create a “nightmare” for opposing offenses, as his ability to play both deep and in the box would give the Ravens a dynamic and unpredictable defense.
With players like Roquan Smith and Kyle Hamilton already making significant impacts, Hufanga’s presence could be the final piece in creating a truly dominant defensive unit.
