Despite the Dallas Cowboys’ struggles this season, Micah Parsons hasn’t lost his confidence in the team. In fact, he even went as far as to say that the current Dallas roster forms a “damn good football team.”
Parsons made his opinion about the Cowboys abundantly clear in the latest episode of his “The Edge” podcast. Dallas’ defensive star added that while their scores don’t really scream good, they have shown in their recent games that they are better than what their 3-7 record suggests.
“I’m gonna put this out there, we’re a damn good football team,” Parsons claimed.
“I know these scores ain’t showing it and I know people feel like we’ve got so many missing pieces. … I think our defense has really turned things around. Up until that last quarter when they got that touchdown on defense, we only gave up those two touchdowns in that first quarter. Other than that we gave up six points in the other two quarters.”
Sure enough, not everyone is buying Micah Parsons’ claim about the Cowboys, especially with the team losing their last six games.
Dak Prescott’s absence may be a huge factor in their struggles, but it’s worth noting that the team was already playing poorly prior to the quarterback’s season-ending hamstring injury in Week 9.
“A damn good football team would not be 3-7,” a commenter wrote.
Another one said, “He’s a damn good football player. The team…just doesn’t seem to have it this year.”
A critic added, “He’s lying lol you can tell by his eyes.”
“Any team in the NFL is good. But your worst of all the good teams,” a social media user harshly said.
“Does he watch the game…” a fifth detractor added.
Sure enough, until the Cowboys actually show on the field that they are a capable team, no one will believe Parsons’ statement.
