Diego Schwartzman shows ultimate respect to Rafael Nadal with this huge statement

Diego Schwartzman says Rafael Nadal is the Big Three member who “commanded the most respect” when entering the court as the former world No. 9 explains he felt “a little bit defeated” to the Spaniard even before their match would start.

In all of his matches played against the Big Three, the newly retired Argentine clinched only one win – and it came in one of his 12 meetings against the Spaniard after he won their 2020 Rome Masters quarterfinal 6-2 7-5.

But before the Rome triumph, Schwartzman was ousted by Nadal in each of their opening eight matches.

When it comes to matches against Djokovic and Federer, the former five-time ATP winner was beaten in all of his seven clashes against the Serb and he also failed to register a win in any of his four meetings against the Swiss.

“I think Rafa, of the three, is the one who commands the most respect when you enter the court. It’s like you enter the court a little more defeated,” the 2020 French Open semifinalist told ESPN, via We Are Tennis.

Now retired, Diego Schwartzman gives his toughts about the Big 3 debate:

“I think Rafa, of the three, is the one who commands the most respect when you enter the court. It’s like you enter the court a little more defeated.”
