The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a tremendous season that almost saw Lamar Jackson win his second straight NFL MVP and Derrick Henry’s first season in Todd Monken’s offense.
However, the ultimate goal was not achieved.

This offseason, Eric DeCosta will identify players through free agency and in April’s NFL Draft that could help them get over the hump next season.
With that in mind, Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine pinpointed the top three “dream targets” for the Ravens in the upcoming entry draft.
Day 1 Target: Edge Rusher James Pearce Jr. – Tennessee Volunteers
Ballentine points out that the Ravens were second in the league in sacks last season but just 15th in pressure percentage. That’s not good. And that number includes 12.5 sacks from 33-year-old Kyle Van Noy, who most likely can’t continue that pace.
Odafe Oweh could benefit greatly from having someone like Pearce Jr. alongside him.
Day 2 Target: Cornerback Zy Alexander – LSU Tigers
Current corner Marlon Humphrey will most likely be gone due to salary cap overruns and DeCosta will need to replace him somehow, somewhere. That could come through the draft in on Day 2. B/R’s Cory Giddings said he’s a versatile corner, and he could fit right where the Ravens need him.
“Zy Alexander projects as a mid-round pick with the potential to develop into a starting outside cornerback in multiple schemes,” he wrote. “His size, length, and ability to blanket receivers downfield give him a high ceiling, particularly against larger wideouts.”
Day 3 Target: Linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson – Kentucky Wildcats
Ballentine says linebacker is an “underrated need” for the Ravens, and that’s probably true considering Roquan Smith does most of the work on the second level. Malik Harrison, who took over for the underperforming Trenton Simpson last season, will be a free agent along with Chris Board and Kristian Welch.
