Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson just notched yet another stellar NFL campaign, finishing just behind Josh Allen in 2024 NFL MVP voting.
Jackson put forth another record-breaking season as an elite dual-threat weapon. The 28-year-old signal caller completed 66.7% of his pass attempts for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also added 915 yards and four touchdowns in the run game.
Jackson, a two-time league MVP, notched his third First Team All-Pro selection through 17 games with the Ravens in 2024. It’s hard to imagine the superstar QB getting much better, but Baltimore offensive coordinator Todd Monken is confident that the best is yet to come.
“The year that he had, I think he’s still just scratching the surface of where he’s headed,” Monken said. “It may not statistically show up that way, but I know he’s only the scratching the surface.”
“Lamar is an unbelievably humble superstar,” Monken continued. “That doesn’t mean he’s not competitive, doesn’t want to be great. Lamar just wants to win. But he also knows that him playing well… your chances of winning go up exponentially if you have a great quarterback.”
Despite Jackson’s stellar individual season, the Ravens fell short of their ultimate postseason goals with a loss to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round. In that 27-25 playoff loss, Jackson completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 254 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Jackson is entering the third season of the five-year, $260 million contract he signed with the Ravens before the start of the 2023 NFL season.
