Team needs are starting to shift as organizations re-sign players and add new talent in the opening days of free agency.
The Ravens answered their biggest offseason question by striking a reported three-year, $60 million deal with left tackle Ronnie Stanley, but they lost starting left guard Patrick Mekari to the Jacksonville Jaguars. That has made guard a bigger need in pundits’ eyes.
Here’s who media members are predicting the Ravens select at No. 27:

IOL Tyler Booker, Alabama
2024 stats: 13 games, 86.5 pass block grade, 63.9 run block grade, 2.5% pressure rate allowed
Garrett Podell, CBS Sports
“The Ravens could use reinforcements on their offensive line with Ronnie Stanley and Patrick Mekari set to become free agents. Tyler Booker is the draft’s top guard prospect, and he doesn’t even turn 21 until April 12. Only allowing two career sacks at Alabama in 38 games, 27 starts, Booker could protect Lamar Jackson for a long time.”

OL Donovan Jackson, Ohio State
2024 stats: 14 games, 69.9 pass block grade, 70.2 run block grade, 4.5% pressure rate allowed
Charles McDonald, Yahoo! Sports
“The Ravens’ offensive line could use some work, but they did play well last season for the talent level they were working with. Here’s some more reinforcement on the interior.”

OT Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon
2024 stats: 14 games, 83.5 pass block grade (Pro Football Focus), 72.5 run block grade, 1.9% pressure rate allowed
Nick Baumgardner, The Athletic
“On potential alone, Conerly is a top-20 prospect (maybe higher) in this class. He’s big, long, explosive, quick and has powerful hands with an ability to recover. His game can still look sloppy at times, but his flashes in both the run and pass game are outstanding.”
Eric Froton, NBC Sports
“Baltimore re-signed LT Ronnie Stanley to a 3-year deal and continues to further lock down their offensive line with a smooth mover like Conerly Jr. who allowed just one sack over 523 pass block snaps last year.”

CB Darien Porter, Iowa State
2024 stats: 12 games, 3 interceptions, 2 passes defended, 18 tackles, 2 tackles for loss
Kyle Crabbs, The 33rd Team
“The Ravens got a big win ahead of free agency with the news that Ronnie Stanley would return in 2025. That development leaves guard and cornerback as two of last year’s roster’s biggest remaining areas of need. Pairing 2024 1st-round pick Nate Wiggins with another lean, fluid corner gives Baltimore’s secondary plenty to get excited about for the foreseeable future.”

WR Matthew Golden, Texas
2024 stats: 16 games, 58 receptions, 987 receiving yards, 9 touchdowns
Max Chadwick, Pro Football Focus
“After locking up left tackle Ronnie Stanley to a three-year contract, the Ravens can afford to look at other positions in the first round. Golden is coming off a breakout junior year after transferring from Houston, and he turned heads at the combine with a 4.29-second 40-yard dash.”

EDGE Landon Jackson, Arkansas
2024 stats: 12 games, 6.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 49 tackles, 3 passes defended, 1 forced fumble
Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports
“As a Chicago Bears fan, I had long hoped Landon Jackson would be somebody they could take early in the second round, but the combine may have crushed those hopes. He’s big, long and a tremendous athlete. He was also productive in college. He’s everything you look for in an edge prospect and should be a first-round pick.”

OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota
2024 stats: 12 games, 77.3 pass block grade, 73.6 run block grade, 3.3% pressure rate allowed
Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports
“The tackle-guard flexibility will draw the Ravens toward Aireontae Ersery, and he had clean quality film at tackle over the past few seasons at Minnesota. Now we know he’s a supremely gifted athlete.”

S Malaki Starks, Georgia
2024 stats: 14 games, 77 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 3 passes defended
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA Today
“The Ravens have long developed a reputation for pouncing on talented players who, for one reason or another, fall in the draft. That habit could re-emerge again in April with Starks, a savvy safety who would free up the defense to provide a range of different looks with two-time Pro Bowl selection Kyle Hamilton.”

EDGE James Pearce Jr., Tennessee
2024 stats: 13 games, 7.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 38 tackles
Josh Edwards, CBS Sports
“There have been several rumblings about James Pearce Jr. off-the-field, but Baltimore has a standard and the culture in the locker room makes the Ravens a good landing spot for Pearce.”
