BREAKING : Ravens Re-Sign Offensive Lineman Ben Cleveland

The Ravens have re-signed offensive lineman Ben Cleveland, bolstering their offensive line depth.

Baltimore has lost versatile offensive lineman Patrick Mekari to the Jacksonville Jaguars and backup offensive tackle Josh Jones to the Seattle Seahawks this offseason.

Cleveland provides more depth at guard behind Daniel Faalele and Andrew Vorhees, who won the starting left guard job last offseason. While the Ravens retained Ronnie Stanley, they also need tackle depth.

Cleveland worked at guard and tackle last offseason, which added to his versatility. Mekari was the Ravens’ top backup tackle, as well as their starting left guard for much of last season.

A third-round pick in 2021, the 6-foot-6, 360-pound Cleveland didn’t win a starting job on the Ravens’ offensive line in his first four years. He suited up for all 17 games last season but played a career-low 49 offensive snaps, as the Ravens’ line remained healthy nearly all season.

Cleveland played 162 offensive snaps (15%) and made two starts in 2023. He started a career-high four games as a rookie.

Vorhees is likely the front-runner to replace Mekari at left guard, but Cleveland adds competition and the Ravens could still target offensive linemen in this year’s draft, even after bringing back Stanley and Cleveland.
