Most would agree that Mark Andrews and the Baltimore Ravens had a good season in 2024, winning 12 games. However, many felt the Ravens were capable of accomplishing so much more, including a Super Bowl victory.
Yet, their season came to a screeching halt when Andrews, a sure-handed seven-year veteran who dropped just three passes all year, couldn’t come up with a two-point conversion pass attempt from Lamar Jackson in Baltimore’s playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The way the season ended, coupled with Isaiah Likely’s emerging presence, led some to wonder if Andrews’ days in Baltimore were numbered. It didn’t help that Andrews had a sizable $4 million roster bonus due on March 16. Yet, now the Ravens have made a decision on Andrews for the upcoming season.
Mark Andrews seemingly staying with Baltimore Ravens in 2025

The Baltimore Ravens had a 24 hour window to decide whether they should pay out Mark Andrews’ $4 million roster bonus, which took place between Saturday and Sunday. This time crunch came as no surprise, yet deadlines typically spur action. Not in this case.
According to The Athletic’s Ravens insider Jeff Zrebiec, Baltimore has picked up Andrews’ contract option for the 2025 season. Thus, barring a contract adjustment, Andrews will hold a $16.9 million cap hit this year. It’s the exact same amount Baltimore paid him in 2024 when the one-time All-Pro tight end recorded 673 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
However, just because the Ravens exercised Andrews’ contract option, it doesn’t guarantee he’ll still be on the roster when the season starts. According to Zrebiec, the Ravens may still consider “legitimate” trade offers for their 29-year-old three-time Pro Bowler.
“Mark Andrews’ $4 million roster bonus triggered on 5th day of new league yr, which technically was between 4 pm Sat. and 4 p.m. today. Ravens picked it up, which isn’t surprising. They were never going to release Andrews. Could they trade him? Perhaps, but would take legit offer.”
The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec on Mark Andrews
Zrebiec responded to an X user in the comments who asked whether a fourth-round selection would be enough to grease the wheels for an Andrews trade. Yet, Zrebiec indicated that he’d be “surprised” if a fourth-round pick was enough to get the Ravens to say yes.
