It’s official. Cooper Rush’s time with the Dallas Cowboys has come to an end after eight years with the team.
News hit on Sunday that the veteran quarterback had agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens to back up Lamar Jackson. According to ESPN, it’s a two-year deal for Rush, which has a maximum value of $12.2 million and $4.2 million guaranteed.
Rush’s Dallas exit means that he will now have to bid farewell to his Cowboys teammates — if he hasn’t already. This includes having to say goodbye to the friends whom he and his wife, Lauryn Rush, will be leaving behind.

On Sunday, Morgan Martin, the wife of Cowboys star guard Zack Martin, who recently announced his retirement, was one of the first to congratulate the Rush family for their big move to Baltimore. Morgan Martin sent a six-word message as she expressed her excitement over this major development.
“Let’s gooooo!!! The most deserving family! 🫶” she wrote, tagging Lauryn Rush in the post.
While Morgan Martin was clearly delighted with the news, this has to be bittersweet for her as well. She’s formed quite a bond with Lauryn Rush during their time together in Dallas, and bidding farewell to a close friend is never easy.
Cooper Rush will now embark on a new chapter in his career. He wasn’t exactly a star in Dallas, but there’s no denying that he was an important member of the squad over the past several years.
