The Miami Dolphins need defensive line help, and with multiple starters from the 2024 team in free agency, the Dolphins have to plug multiple holes along the defensive line.
According to Josh Moser, a Miami base sportscaster, in a segment with NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus, the Dolphins have made an offer for defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah.
The Dolphins offered a contract for Ogbah, but there is still a lack of common ground between the two sides. Rosenhaus, Ogbah’s agent, gave an update on the negotiations.
“I don’t think anything is imminent at this time between Emmanuel and the Dolphins.”

With just three defensive linemen on the Dolphins roster, Ogbah would be a much-needed re-signing in Miami. But, according to his agent, those negotiations are not near completion.
Ogbah has been a Dolphin since 2020 and has been a solid contributor his entire time in Miami. In his five years with the Fins, Ogbah has 29.5 sacks, 163 combined tackles, and two interceptions. He’s also forced six fumbles, recovering two.
Across his nine-year career, Ogbah has 47.5 sacks, 317 tackles, 41 passes defended, and nine forced fumbles. In the 123 games he’s appeared in, Ogbah was a starter in 87 of them.
He would be a starter for Miami in 2025, playing as one of the interior defensive lineman spots. Ogbah has a role saved for him, and with the contract offer on the table, the Dolphins clearly would like him back.
Ogbah is 31 years old, and if Miami can bring him back, he will be entering his tenth season in the NFL. With the lack of depth and starting talent along the defensive line, Ogbah would fill in nicely as a starter along the Dolphins’ defensive line.
