Dak Prescott didn’t play in the Cowboys’ 34-10 loss to the Texans on Sunday night, but the injured Dallas quarterback had an emotional reaction to his team’s blowout loss.
Prescott last played on November 3 and will miss the rest of the year after undergoing season-ending surgery on his hamstring.
And he was evidently extremely affected by the team’s latest defeat, telling the Dallas Morning News that he cried after his team fell to 3-7 on the year.
‘The other day, after the game, I guess, it all just hit me,’ Prescott told Dallas Morning News.
‘Boom, right. A couple of tears came down. This is going to hurt. It’s going to suck at times. You just have to understand this is one of the moments that it does. I don’t want anything right now other than to let it suck.’

Prescott is currently sidelined for the rest of the year after partially tearing his hamstring
Prescott is currently sidelined with a partially torn hamstring, which ended his season after just eight games.
He threw eight interceptions in as many games and saw his team lose three straight contests before his injury.
‘Off the field, it’s been some of the most joyous times I ever could have imagined, dreamed of. Having a child, getting engaged, starting a family,’ he added.
‘But then on the football field, it’s probably been as tough of a season as I’ve ever had. I’d probably say the toughest.’
Prescott had a league-leading 36 touchdown passes last year along with 4,516 yards.
But Dallas – after going 12-5 in the regular season – were stunned at home in the playoffs by the Packers and that negative momentum has carried into this season.
The Cowboys will look to stop the bleeding this weekend as they visit the Commanders.
