Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old who stabbed fellow 17-year-old Austin Metcalf to death at a local track meet in Texas, had a question for police after his arrest.

Anthony, a student at Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas, is in custody following an altercation that only one of them would leave. Metcalf, who attended Memorial High School, was stabbed in the heart after getting into a confrontation with Anthony last Wednesday.

The two students reportedly got into it after Austin asked Karmelo to leave his team’s tent during the UIL District 11-5A track meet at Kuykendall Stadium. A fight broke out after Karmelo refused and ultimately ended in Austin being fatally wounded.

Karmelo Anthony fled the scene before being captured by police. But he immediately admitted to stabbing Metcalf, who he blamed for the situation.

He had one question for the authorities, as it appears he was not aware that the football player had died as a result of his actions.

According to a report from FOX5, he asked the cops, “Is he going to be okay?”
