Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been showing his age with his play the last couple of seasons, but he remains just as important to the franchise, as well as the community.

But in this case? It’s not quite as adversitsed.

Foster Love announced in early March that Kelce had purchased a $3.3 million mansion in Kansas City that he plans to turn into a transitional living facility for homeless youth.

“Travis Kelce’s commitment to helping homeless youth is an inspiring example of how athletes can use their platform to make a real difference,” Foster Love wrote. “Through his initiative, he’s providing young people with the resources and guidance they need to build a brighter future and overcome the challenges that come with homelessness.”

The home includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a game room, a study area, a patio, and many more features that will be at the disposal of the people that end up using the space.

It’s quite a deal.

It’s quite a story.

Problem is, it’s not true.

As you can see below, Kelce has been making the rounds to explain that the tale, which was promoted by ESPN’s Pat McAfee, is simply not true.

“Nonsense,” he called it.

Kelce does do charity work, in KC and back in Ohio.

But he didn’t do this.

Meanwhile, it is clear that wants to use some of the money he has earned in his career to help those that are less fortunate.

That’s an off-field focus, as is his relationship with pop superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift.

As far as on the field, Kelce will be looking to help the Chiefs bounce back from their loss in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, and hopefully end his storied career on a high note.
