FRISCO – The Dallas Cowboys – by virtue of local fans hunger and national media delusion – have frequently been rumored to be among the teams in the mix for a trade involving Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
Maybe that’s a result in part of Micah Parsons’ public flirtation with the dynamic Hill. Or maybe it’s because of Dallas’ open proclamation that the Dak Prescott-led offense needs to add an “explosive No. 2 receiver.”
And by God, Tyreek is “explosive” in every way possible.
And “dangerous” in the same ways.
Hill was investigated for domestic abuse – again – Monday afternoon by Florida police. This is a running theme in his life, of course.
Nasty accusations. Police calls. Babies involved. (Tyreek is supposedly the father of somewhere between five and 13 children, obviously by different women given that he recently became a father three times in the span of a few months … which is nobody’s business except for all the abuse charges and all the paternity lawsuits.
The Dolphins, due to his $28 million contract, might be stuck with him.
Why do the Cowboys need to be?
In recent months, Tyreek, 31, has been accused of reckless driving, not paying up in multiple paternity cases, breaking a woman’s leg, slapping a store manager and here, assaulting his wife while playing physical tug-of-war with their baby.
He has certainly tried to put behind him the controversy from college when he allegedly beat his girlfriend and pleaded guilty to a 2015 charge before was suspended by the Chiefs in 2019 over child abuse allegations that claimed he broke the arm of his 3-year-old son.
You can like Tyreek as a fan.
You can not like him as a man.
And lest you think I’m being harshly judgmental here, I pose this question to you, Cowboys fan …
Your sister just called to proudly announce to you that she is dating Tyreek and that she is pregnant with his 14th child .
How you feelin’ now?
