The Washington Commanders, the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens are rumored to be among the teams in the mix for a speculative trade involving Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

It appears as though those plans might be shelved, though, after Hill was investigated for domestic abuse Monday afternoon by Florida police.

Law enforcement was called to Tyreek Hill’s home after an alleged domestic dispute between the star wide receiver and his wife. According to Local 10 News, WPLG in Miami, police say they arrived at the home following a report of an “assault in progress.”

Hill’s mother-in-law allegedly described him as “very aggressive and impulsive,” saying that she feared for the safety of her daughter. The mother-in-law called police after she says Hill smashed a computer and grabbed his daughter to walk the home’s balcony which is on the 35th floor of a high-rise condominium.

The Dolphins addressed the matter on Wednesday and released an official statement.

“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed,” the team said.

“We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”

Hill’s wife claims in a police report that Hill “becomes angry and throws objects around.” She also stated she would be filing for divorce after noting that the two had been to couples therapy, but it has proven to be unsuccessful.

His wife also stated that Hill – who has a history of allegedly troubling interactions with women and with law enforcement – took the child “without malice,” and police say Hill admitted to doing so.

“I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want,” Hill said, according to the report.
