BREAKING: Dodgers Announce Bobby Miller Decision After Disastrous Outing

The Los Angeles Dodgers entered Wednesday with a 13-6 record and looking to finish off a three-game sweep against the Colorado Rockies.

At the end of the game, the Dodgers survived a scare with an 8-7 win despite jumping out to a 7-1 lead in the first inning.

It was the first outing of the year for Dodgers pitcher Bobby Miller, who was the top prospect in the organization previously.

Miller, unfortunately, got roughed up in his first outing at the big league level this season. He went just three innings, giving up six runs on eight hits while throwing 84 pitches.

Miller gave up a run in the top of the first inning and was then tagged for five in a brutal third inning to bring the Rockies within one run.

Well, on Thursday, the Dodgers decided to send him back to Triple-A.

“The Dodgers option RHP Bobby Miller,” the official X account wrote.

Miller’s time with LA has been up and down. In 2023, he went 11-4 with a 3.76 ERA in 22 regular-season games.

On the other hand, 2024 was much different. Miller went just 2-4 with an 8.52 ERA in 13 games while pitching 56 innings, so it left a lot to be desired for the former first-round draft pick.

Before being recalled, Miller made three appearances (two starts) for OKC. He compiled a 2.20 ERA, although he walked 11 batters in just 12 innings, so the command issues have been a concern.

The Dodgers begin a three-game series against the Texas Rangers on Friday and Yoshinobu Yamamoto is the projected starter.
