Yankees Fans React to Ben Rice Performance in Comeback Win vs. Rays

New York Yankees fans reacted to the incredible performance from Ben Rice to help them come back to take down the Tampa Bay Rays.

Just when the New York Yankees looked like they could drop a game to the rival Tampa Bay Rays, infielder Ben Rice put together a memorable performance. Rice finished the game going 4-for-5 from the plate, helping New York grab the comeback win.

The final score of the game was 6-3 in favor of the Yankees.

Even in his only out of the game, Rice put on a show. The first baseman hit a 107 mph ground out, the second hardest hit ball of the evening.

New York started the game out very poorly as pitcher Will Warren got shelled by the Rays early on. Fans came after Warren for his outing, but the performance from Rice helped salvage the game.

New York scored two runs in the five inning, and three in the sixth to take control of the contest. Per usual, Yankees fans took to social media to praise Rice in the best way that they could.

For the season, Rice is hitting .317 with five home runs and nine RBI. Rice has played a massive role for the Yankees to start the season, and the team is very hopeful that he can continue contributing in this manner.

If Rice is able to stay hot throughout the season, New York will have found a special player. This Yankees team has its mind set on getting back to the World Series, and Rice could play a big role in that goal.

It’s a long season, but his contributions have helped them start the season well. New York currently holds a record of 12-7 following this comeback win over Tampa Bay tonight.
