The Los Angeles Chargers have had one of the most confounding offseasons of any NFL team this year.
They entered the offseason with a pressing need at wide receiver and tight end.
Rookie Ladd McConkey proved to be a star, but outside of him, the bolts got little to no production from their pass catchers.
Rather than come up with a viable, long-term solution for this issue, the Chargers have been content to cover their gunshot wounds with bandaids.
The most notable names they’ve added at those positions are Mike Williams who looked like a shell of himself last season, and Tyler Conklin who truthfully is a solid addition.
Fans have been scratching their heads for months wondering when or where a big receiver upgrade would come from.
Bleacher Report just cooked up some trade packages that might answer these questions for the Los Angeles faithful.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews’ future with the team has been in question since he dropped a crucial pass that would’ve tied Baltimore’s playoff game with the Buffalo Bills.
Head coach John Harbaugh stated he expected Andrews to be back with the team, but general manager Eric DeCosta gave a press conference earlier this week and was noncommittal on the subject.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton got right to work and released five potential landing spots for the three-time all star and potential packages the teams would give up.
The Chargers made the list and Moton predicted that they would need to give up this year’s fourth-round pick and offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer.
This isn’t a hefty price tag at all and the best part of the trade for Los Angeles would be Andrews’ contract.
He’s entering the final year of his deal, so he wouldn’t be on the books for very long if LA decided to let him walk next year.
The Chargers have shown an unwillingness to pay for premium talent this offseason, so it’s unlikely they’ll change their philosophy nearly four months in.
For the package and Andrews’ contract, this would be maximum value for the Chargers at a position they need desperately.
