Tight end Mark Andrews has been an incredibly important member of the Baltimore Ravens’ offense over the last few seasons. Andrews has been Lamar Jackson’s favorite target for much of his career, and the duo has become one of the most prolific quarterback-receiver tandems in the NFL.

Andrews is a three-time Pro Bowler and a former All-Pro, but recent comments from the Ravens’ general manager indicate that the team could be considering a change at tight end.

“I never know what’s going to happen, and I would never want to say this or that, but I can tell you this: Mark Andrews is a warrior, and he’s played his butt off for us, and his competitiveness, his talent, his attitude, his leadership is so valued here,” said Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta earlier this month.

“He’s a great player, and we’re in the business of keeping as many great players as we can, so there’s always a lot of unpredictability with the draft. You just never know.”

With the draft just days away, Andrews was asked about DeCosta’s comments. The star tight end says that in his eyes, his relationship with the front office and the organization is in a good place.

“I know the Ravens and my relationship is incredibly strong and I trust in [DeCosta] and everybody there over at the Ravens,” Andrews said, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

“And there’s nothing on my end really to share. For me, it’s just been working hard this offseason and trying to get in the best shape of my life, trying to have the best season of my life coming up and winning a Super Bowl.”
