Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft has come to an end, and there is still one player left on the board that the majority of people believed would be gone in the first round.

Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders was projected by most to be an easy first-round pick. But in an almost unprecedented turn of events, he is still on the board after the end of round three. This big of a drop prompted Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes to take to X and post his very uncomplicated thoughts.

“Crazy,” the three-time Super Bowl winner wrote midway through the third round.

There is no confirmation that Sanders sliding is exactly what Mahomes was referring to in this post, as there is no other context, but one can only assume given the magnitude of the situation. …

And given that the Colorado QB’s plunge is the talk of the NFL.

There were five quarterbacks taken through the first three round of the draft, and the fact that none of them were Sanders could make you think a bit. Are fans not a fan of his overconfidence and arrogance at times? Do teams not believe in the hype that he could be a superstar? Only time will tell.

Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft will kick off on Sunday at 11 a.m. and all eyes will be on Sanders as he hopes that a team is willing to take a chance on him despite passing on him through the first three rounds.
