Rafael Nadal’s New Hotel Is Here — And It’s Pure Mediterranean Magic

Inspired by the energy of tennis and the active lifestyle that defines Rafael Nadal, ZEL Punta Cana — an all-inclusive resort — opened its doors in March 2025, bringing the Mediterranean spirit to the heart of the Caribbean.

The Spirit of ZEL: Mediterranean Life, Caribbean Setting

The opening marks the first international expansion of this hotel brand developed by Meliá Hotels International in partnership with Rafa, offering a new destination for those seeking wellness, signature gastronomy, and outdoor experiences along the turquoise waters of Playa Bávaro. The ZEL brand was born from a joint project between Meliá and our champ, with a central idea: to export the Mediterranean lifestyle through a hotel experience that blends nature, movement, and connection.

After launching locations in Mallorca and Costa Brava, ZEL has now landed outside of Spain for the first time with this Dominican site, which Rafa described as “a space to feel good, active, and free.”

Rafa was actively involved in the resort’s conceptualization, contributing his vision of sport as a path to both physical and mental balance — a philosophy that can be felt in every corner of the complex.

Stays at the all-inclusive ZEL Punta Cana start around $447,802, with Master Suites and Swim-Up Suites available for those seeking even more luxury. All stays include full access to wellness activities, gourmet dining options, internal transportation services, and a range of unique experiences designed to restore mind-body balance.

Vamos to paradise, Rafa fans!

Not sure about you, but we can only dream about staying there! Still, it’s great to see Rafa keeping busy off the court — and let’s be honest, it seems like his agent and team knew exactly what he should be investing in. Good food, sunshine, wellness, and a little slice of paradise? Yeah… they definitely aced that decision.
