The Baltimore Ravens drafted a potential kicker of the future on Saturday, selecting Arizona’s Tyler Loop with the No. 186 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Loop pick comes as longtime Ravens kicker Justin Tucker is currently under league investigation after he was accused of improper conduct by 16 massage therapists from eight Baltimore-area spas between his 2012 rookie year through 2016. Tucker has denied any misconduct.

The five-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection is also coming off his worst season as a pro in which he recorded career lows in field goals made (22) and field goal percentage (73.3).

Loop made 18 of 23 field goal attempts, including a school-record 62-yarder, in 2024 for the Wildcats. His career 83.75% mark (67 of 80) on field goals set an Arizona program record and was good enough to make him the first kicker selected by the Ravens in franchise history.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta told reporters following the draft on Saturday that he has not yet considered whether Loop’s selection would impact Tucker’s future.

“Right now, they’re both on the roster,” DeCosta said, via The Athletic.

Loop was the second kicker selected on Saturday after the New England Patriots drafted Miami’s Andres Borregales earlier in the sixth round at No. 182.
