Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw has stuck around the NFL for decades as an announcer for FOX after hanging up the cleats as a player.
In recent years, fans believed Bradshaw should retire from his latest career on TV as the 76-year-old has dealt with multiple health concerns. As a result of a scary diagnosis, Bradshaw had put on a lot of weight.
“I ended up getting rheumatoid arthritis and so they put me on steroids,” he told FOX 32 Chicago. “It took forever to find out what steroid worked. And so I put on so much weight and I got big and I just, I couldn’t get it off.”
Thankfully, with the support of his wife, Bradshaw has announced he has now began shedding the pounds at an impressive rate.
“So Tammy got me started on one of those shots and I’ve been on this shot about a year now and I’ve lost 48 pounds,” he said.
He’s not done either: “But I’ve got 20 I want to lose. I’m hoping I’ll lose 20 more pounds in another year.”
It’s estimated that Terry, who played as a superstar QB in the 1970s at 6-3 and 215, recently ballooned up to 268 pounds.

Amid the rumors about his media retirement, Bradshaw was quick to confirm that he wants to keep working. His plans are to stay in the television business until he is 80 years old.
Now with this progress, he is feeling as good as ever as he prepares for the 2025 NFL season.
“It’s a good feeling, a really good feeling,” he added.
“As a psychiatrist or psychologist would tell you to tell your kids, ‘Aren’t you proud of yourself?’ – Yeah I am!”
