The stars came out to Miami Gardens on Sunday for one of the biggest sporting events in the city. This came in the form of the F1 Miami Grand Prix, which featured the top drivers in the game going toe-to-toe in the famed 5.41-kilometer track.
There was no shortage of celebrities in attendance at the big event as well, which included Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes. The three-time Super Bowl champ attended the race with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, as the couple enjoyed the major big race and the sunny weather in Miami.
Mahomes’ presence drew an eight-word reaction from Formula One as it sent a shoutout to the two-time All-Pro quarterback via Instagram.
“@patrickmahomes is in the house for the #MiamiGP! 🙌🏈” read the post.
In the photos, Mahomes is seen striking a conversation with Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, who finished 13th in Sunday’s race at 90.445 seconds behind the winner.
It was Oscar Piastri in his McLaren who won the race with a time of 1:28:51.587, as the Australian driver bagged his third straight victory after wins in Saudi Arabia and Monaco.

Lando Norris, Piastri’s McLaren teammate, finished second, while Mercedes’ George Russell rounded out the top 3.
It was another memorable race in Miami, and it is clear that the fans in attendance enjoyed the event as well. The same can be said about Mahomes, who even shared an up-close look at one of the Alpine race team’s pit stops during the race.
