There was no shortage of speculation on Monday surrounding fan-favorite singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce.
After dominating headlines throughout 2024 and into 2025—thanks to Swift’s blockbuster “Eras Tour” and Kelce’s Super Bowl run with the Chiefs—the couple appears to be enjoying a well-earned break from the spotlight.
That break extended into Monday night, despite swirling rumors that the two might make a surprise appearance at the 2025 Met Gala. Swift hasn’t attended the event since 2016, and Kelce has never walked the iconic steps.
Fueling the speculation was the fact that both currently have lighter schedules. Swift has yet to release new music in 2025, and Kelce remains in the NFL offseason. Adding to the buzz, Kelce was recently spotted in New York City for an American Eagle photoshoot—just blocks away from both Swift’s residence and the Met Gala venue.
