The latest big news surrounding Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, centers around the couple’s decision to skip the Met Gala on Monday night. According to reports, Swift and Kelce were invited to fashion’s biggest night, but they were unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts.
Swifties who were left disappointed by the “Cruel Summer” singer’s latest no-show could now have reason to get their hopes up again as another major event approaches. This comes in the form of the highly anticipated American Music Awards, which will be held on May 26 in Las Vegas.
Swift is nominated for six awards for the 2025 AMA’s, including Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year for “Fortnight” and Album of the Year for “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Taylor Nation, a PR firm that is run by Swift’s management team, sent an urgent message to her fans in this regard on Tuesday. They have urged Swifties to vote for her on “Turbo Tuesday,” when votes count as double.
“And our town, it looks so sMall from wAy up here. Screamed, ‘vote for the chairman’ at the night sky!” Taylor Nation posted, sharing a link to the AMA’s voting channel.
Swift could potentially make an appearance in this year’s award show, and she might just bring Kelce as her plus-one.
The multi-Grammy Award-winning artist was in attendance during the 2022 AMA’s, which was the last time the show was held. It’s possible that she makes her return to this year’s award ceremonies, although nothing has been confirmed at this point.
Swift currently holds the record for the most awarded artist in AMA history with an incredible 40 wins.
