From the Met Gala to the Net Gala?
Well, not quite, but either way, Novak Djokovic is the King of the Court in Lacoste’s newest campaign.
Starring in “Play With Icons”, the 24-time major champion was giving his majesty. In the photograph, a golden net serves as a cape to complete an immaculate off-white fit.
Each ambassador-iconic piece pairing becomes a modern myth: an iconic fashion story captured in an unforgettable frame.
“The image celebrates both the man and the garment, honoring Djokovic’s undisputed GOAT status while reaffirming the polo’s place in the pantheon of fashion and sport icons,” the French brand said of the look.
The Serbian, who opted out of this week’s Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome and turns 38 on May 22, is expected to next take the court at Roland Garros. The last time Djokovic stood on Court Philippe Chatrier, he was crowned Olympic champion after completing a Golden Slam with his victory over Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz at the Paris 2024 Games.
Djokovic wasn’t the only member of tennis royalty to feature in Lacoste’s rollout. For Venus Williams “rises like a goddess from a sculptural pleated form, crowned with equally elegant pleats—a tribute to Lacoste’s innovative savoir-faire of this signature style.”

On Monday, Williams represented Lacoste in high fashion circles with her tenniscore tribute at the Met Gala. She last competed on tour at the 2024 Miami Open and was recently announced among TNT’s commentary lineup for the upcoming Paris major.
Joining the two tennis powerhouses include Wang Yibo, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Pierre Niney.
According to Lacoste, “‘Play With Icons’ celebrates the icons that lie at the heart of the Lacoste brand today: its timeless, universal pieces — and the bold personalities who wear them every day. Each ambassador-iconic piece pairing becomes a modern myth: an iconic fashion story captured in an unforgettable frame.”
