The Kansas City Chiefs, as well as the NFL as a whole, have more fans than they did just a few seasons ago, and they have global superstar Taylor Swift to thank for that.
Her relationship with superstar tight end Travis Kelce has brought in a whole new group of people to get involved in the NFL world. Some are not quite as on board with the idea, but one of Kelce’s teammates is showing his full support.
Chiefs Pro Bowl offensive lineman Trey Smith recently appeared on New Rory & Mal and talked a bit about his experience meeting Swift.
“Just talking to her—she really is a beautiful human being,” Smith said. “She’s awesome. She’s super nice, she’s thoughtful, she’s kind. She remembered my name, my sister’s name, after meeting us months earlier. The biggest thing is just how nice of a person she is.”
With how famous Swift is, it wold e easy for her to not remember many of the names of the people that she meets, but her remembering Smith’s sister’s name after meeting her months before shows how genuine of a person she really is.
She has also been Kelce’s biggest fan since they started dating, showing up to a decent amount of games and being just as happy as Kelce when he makes a big play.
Some have expressed their disapproval of Swift at NFL games, but the league, the Chiefs, and Smith, thank her for her continued support of Kelce and the rest of his teammates.
