Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, in a post on X, that on Drew Resenhaus’s weekly Fox-7 segment, the wrist procedure for Hill was for “taking the pins out,” and that “[Hill’s] recovery is going great, [and] we expect him to be ready for the start of training camp.”

Rosenhaus is Hill’s agent, and this report from him is a great sign for Hill in his recovery process from a wrist issue that began before the 2024 season opened.

This update on Hill’s recovery is massive for the Dolphins in two ways. The first is obvious, as getting a healthy Hill back for the 2025 season would be a huge boost to the Dolphins’ offense.

Another angle that this update could be taken is in the pursuit of a trade; a healthy Hill would net a lot more value. Hill’s injury, along with his off the field drama, might’ve been too much for teams to trade for.

But if he’s healthy, Hill could be traded for a lot more than if he were still dealing with his wrist issue. While it wouldn’t be ideal for the Dolphins, it’s much better than if Hill were forcing his way out while uncertain when he’d return.

Hill is an eight-time Pro Bowler and a five-time All-Pro. He’s amassed 11,098 receiving yards [42nd all time], and 82 receiving touchdowns [30th] in his NFL career.

While he has the career counting stats, Hill is coming off a disappointing 2024 season. He had 959 receiving yards, the lowest since 2019, and just the third time in his nine-year career under 1,000 receiving yards.

He also hauled in six touchdowns and 81 receptions en route to his first season in the NFL not being named to the Pro Bowl.

Getting a healthy Hill back is a significant inflection point for the Dolphins in 2025. Hill returning to form could allow the Dolphins offense under Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel to reach their potential.
