Novak Djokovic has surprised everyone in the recent period. After the shocking defeats against Alejandro Tabilo in Monte Carlo and Matteo Arnaldi in Madrid, the Serbian legend decided to skip the Rome Masters 1000 leaving everyone speechless (having always played this tournament since 2007). A few days later, news broke that the 37-year-old from Belgrade had accepted a wild card from the Geneva ATP 250 organizers like last year.

Today, the 24-time Grand Slam champion announced that his partnership with Andy Murray has officially ended after six months. The start to their partnership had been encouraging, considering that Novak had reached the semifinals at the Australian Open, and it was thought that it would last at least until Wimbledon, but it is likely that the recent negative results have affected this decision.

Djokovic is practicing in Belgrade right now and it is not yet clear who will follow him in Geneva next week and especially at Roland Garros at the end of this month.

Nole surprised everyone

In the meantime, the Serbian has been spotted together with Boris Bosnjakovic and analysts wonder if the latter will help Nole in the next tournaments.

The former world No.1 will try to win in Paris for the fourth time in his career, but it is no secret that Wimbledon is the main goal of his season and is the tournament in which he has the best chance of lifting the 25th Major title of his glorious career.

The legend from Belgrade does not seem to be able to compete with the current top players on the red clay right now and will not be among the top four seeds at the French Open, which is why he could have a very tough draw already from the beginning of the second week.

Despite the support of a former champion like Murray, Djokovic has struggled to get out of the crisis that has plagued him for several months and the feeling that the end of his career is quite close is increasingly tangible.
