Carlos Alcaraz believes Novak Djokovic has what it takes to extend his legendary career all the way to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles! The Spaniard spoke about the Serb during the Rome Masters.
The young gun acknowledged the veteran’s commitment to physical fitness and his ability to keep competing at the highest level and chase notable titles despite turning 38 in a couple of days.
The Olympic Games in Los Angeles will take place in three years, and Novak would love to compete for the sixth straight time. If he maintains that desire, Carlos can easily see him compete in the summer of 2028.
Carlos reminded everyone how passionate Novak is about his body, taking good care of it and remaining competitive for two decades. Djokovic will be 41 when the Los Angeles Games take place.
If he enters the draw and embrace the title defense, it will be another proof of his incredible longevity and desire to challenge the younger opponents despite achieving everything.

Novak had been chasing the elusive Olympic Games gold medal for years since starting his journey as an Olympian in Beijing 2008. Finally, he seized his chance a year ago in Paris.
The veteran faced Carlos Alcaraz in the title clash and prevailed 7-6, 7-6 after nearly three hours, celebrating one of his career-best victories and completing the game of tennis.
While losing that final and experiencing a massive setback, Carlos would love to see Novak compete for a few more years, looking forward to more encounters against the greatest player of all time.

With admiration from one of tennis’ most prominent young stars, Djokovic’s path toward the 2028 Olympic Games seems both challenging and possible. The Serb has yet to find his A-game this season.
The legend reached the Australian Open semi-final and chased the Miami Open crown, falling to Jakub Mensik in two tie breaks. Novak has yet to win a match on clay this year.
He will try to change that next week at the ATP 250 event in Geneva, seeking his 100th ATP title and a boost ahead of Roland Garros.

“Novak is in great shape physically, so it’s up to him. If his goal is to compete at another Olympic Games, he is capable of doing that. He takes excellent care of his body and everything to be 100%.
If he can maintain that, he can do it. I would be thrilled to see him compete for more years and share good moments and tournaments with him. I will be happy if that happens,” Carlos Alcaraz said.
