The Buffalo Bills cut veteran edge rusher Von Miller back in March to create cap space, and he has still not been picked up by a team.
But that could change very soon.
In a recent article by Anthony Palacios of The Last Word on Sports, he outlines some of the teams that could pick up Miller, and one of the teams he mentions is the Baltimore Ravens.
“After losing Malik Harrison, the Baltimore Ravens should feel desperate to get any available free agent linebacker,” Palacios writes. “Odafe Oweh has a lot of promise, but he can’t succeed if Trenton Simpson can’t pull it together on the other side of the pass-rush. Kyle Van Noy and Roquan Smith are the best defenders on this roster, but they’re just one dynamic player away from having a complete defense. Miller might be past his prime, but maybe he’s the last piece to push the Ravens for a Super Bowl.”
The Ravens were second in the league in sacks this past season with 54, so signing a veteran edge like Miller could really put them over the top.
Despite the fact that he is 36 years old, the former Super Bowl MVP has proven recently that he can still contribute. He finished with six sacks and eight quarterbacks hits this past season with the Bills, which shows that his ability to get to the quarterback has not gone anywhere.
The Ravens fell just short in the AFC Divisional Round to the Bills, so adding a difference-maker like Miller could be something for the team to heavily consider.
