The Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers links have been going on for weeks now. Mike Tomlin’s camp approached the veteran quarterback previously, but he asked management to wait without giving a definite answer.
This question left the fans wondering how the Steelers’ newest signal-caller, Will Howard, will fare in the depth chart. Well, Howard himself has put those doubts to rest in his appearance on the “Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams”.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen, who knows, that’s all over my head. I’d love to be in a room and learn from him.” He said after mentioning he idolized him growing up.

Steelers’ management has decided to comply with Rodgers’ demands and has kept the recruiting open without moving on like the New York Giants. Insiders predict he may sign by end of May for minicamp or early June.
Right now, the team is focused on developing Howard’s gameplay, which has managed to impress Tomlin.
“He’s doing great,” Tomlin said. “But again, we’re at the very beginning of it. I don’t know that we’re looking at it through that lens in terms of evaluating him. It’s more about getting to know him.”
Tomlin will be testing how quickly the former Ohio State quarterback will absorb the Steelers’ playbook.
In Pittsburgh’s 2025 depth chart, Will Howard is the second-string quarterback, backing up starter Mason Rudolph and positioned ahead of third-string Skylar Thompson, making him the primary reserve quarterback for both training camp and the regular season and preseason games.
