Seemingly everyone has an opinion about Taylor Swift and the level of promotion and exposure she gets during NFL broadcasts, specifically during Kansas City Chiefs games.
Swift is dating Chiefs start tight end Travis Kelce, and whenever she shows up to a game to support him, she’s plastered all over television screens and social media.
Some fans are completely fine with how much the NFL has embraced Swift and her legion of loyal fans, but others haven’t been so pleased with the pop star’s overexposure, as evidenced by the booing she received during Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans from Philadelphia Eagles fans.
While most seem to be fine with the abundance of attention Swift has brought to the NFL, a player survey conducted by The Athletic back in November revealed there’s a small group of players who are not appreciative of the media circus she’s brought to the league.

“It’s bringing more attention to the game, but I feel like they’ve been using her face,” one anonymous player said in the survey. “If she’s at a game, they probably show her like six, seven times. People get … sick of it if they keep doing it over and over again. So I think they’ve got to find a balance.”
And while Swift will likely always have her naysayers as long as she’s attending Chiefs games, the 14-time Grammy winner knows there’s at least one former player who’s in her corner: legendary former New York Giants star Michael Strahan.
“Sports have leaked into pop culture — and it’s a win for everyone,” Strahan said at Sports Business Journal’s 4SE conference. “Taylor Swift is one of the best things to happen to the NFL.”
Following the Super Bowl, Swift and Kelce actively avoided the spotlight at the urging of their inner circle, who informed the couple their overexposure during the NFL season had reached a fever pitch.
But after keeping a low profile for nearly three months, Swift and Kelce have been in the headlines the last few days after making a few public appearances and having another date night over the weekend at Harry’s Bar & Restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida.
A report from Page Six earlier this offseason indicated that Swift plans to attend as many of Kelce’s games this season as possible with her schedule opening up after her record-breaking “Eras Tour” ended in December.
