Is Lamar Jackson the king of “Monday Night Football”? Well, the Baltimore Ravens star is certainly making a case for that title following his Week 12 performance against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jackson finished his latest Monday performance with 177 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-22 pass completion without an interception. He also made his mark on the ground, tallying eight carries for 15 yards and a touchdown.
While it wasn’t easy, Jackson and the Ravens took the 30-23 win. Justice Hill’s 51-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter allowed Baltimore to get a 30-16 cushion, and they held on for the win.
After the contest, the NFL posted some interesting stats about Jackson and his career performance during “Monday Night Football” games. Apparently, the numbers show that the Ravens signal-caller is a big-time performer during Monday contests.
With his latest showing, Jackson has improved to 7-2 in his career on “Monday Night Football,” all while recording 1,949 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns with zero interceptions.
Even better, Jackson has 696 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the same span.
Sure enough, the absurd stat had NFL fans buzzing, with many heaping praise on Lamar Jackson.
“That there is the MVP of this league!!! Absolute stud,” a fan wrote. Another one said, “bro is a winner every game.”
“Can’t even hate at this point,” a social media user added.
Another commenter noted, “Dude is a problem for the rest of the league.”
“Primetime legend,” a fifth supporter exclaimed.
“Lamar thrives under the bright lights! His 7-2 record, 22 touchdowns, and 0 INTs on Monday Night Football show he’s built for prime time. Impressive stats!” an impressed follower added.
Unfortunately for fans, the Ravens no longer have a “Monday Night Football” schedule for the rest of the season. They do have a weekday matchup on Christmas Day against the Houston Texans, but the Baltimore faithful will have to wait until next season to see if Jackson will be able to continue his Monday dominance.
