Jason Kelce recently made the trip to Minnesota alongside Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to help advocate for the Tush Push.

And it seems his speech helped, as the vote to ban the Eagles’ infamous play lost.

While we of course know Jason’s thoughts on this, Travis Kelce has stayed quiet. But, on the latest episode of New Heights, he made his opinion on whether the play should be banned or not known.

“I think people make too much of a f***ing buzz about this damn play anyways,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said. “It’s a good play for you guys. You guys do it well. And it will continue to be a good play for you guys.”

On the podcast, Jason also spoke about the trip and gave some insight into the discussions.

“The reason I was there was because there was a narrative out there that one of the reasons I was retired was because of the play — or that I somehow felt like the play led to more injuries or was injured because of it,” the oldest Kelce brother said. “So I was really just there to offer my perspective on that stuff not being true and the fact that I think it’s a relatively safe play.

“I did go up there and talk after Jeffrey Lurie kind of started things off. He kind of opened everything up. And then I kind of dispelled those rumors and then answered some questions about how the play was run.”

And luckily, it all worked as Philadelphia has at least one more season where they get to run the play. Maybe teams should figure out a way to defend it rather than complaining about it?
