Dak Prescott will face the tough challenge of bringing his Dallas Cowboys back to the NFL’s spotlight. It won’t be easy, of course, but a few new faces on offense are expected to support their quarterback in this mission and help achieve big things moving forward.
Javonte Williams joined Brian Schottenheimer’s team this past offseason after several seasons with the Denver Broncos. The explosive running back is well aware of his talent, and if he can stay healthy throughout the year, he could provide a major boost to his QB.
The year 2022 was a turning point for the former North Carolina standout, who unfortunately suffered a torn ACL, LCL, and posterolateral corner (PLC). Despite the setback, Williams is determined to give it his all in this new chapter of his career.
“I feel completely like myself” the talented running back said, per the team website. “I probably can get more flexible and things like that, but as far as healing up, that I feel like is done.”

Williams’ road to redemption
His breakout in the NFL after being drafted by the Broncos in 2021 left both fans and analysts in awe. Unfortunately for Williams, the devastating injury he suffered just one season later led many to question what kind of form the running back would return in.

Speaking on the situation, the former Tar Heels player expressed gratitude for getting a second chance in the league. He made it clear that every player recovers at their own pace, and fortunately for him, he now gets to continue running routes—this time as a member of the Cowboys.
“It just depends on who you are, it depends on your body. … Mine might take this amount of time, but somebody else might be different,” the RB stated regarding his recovery. “It’s a lot that goes into it that people don’t really understand. Just to be back out here and have another opportunity and chance to show myself, I can’t ask for nothing else.”
Another weapon for Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott enters the 2025 season with a clear goal: leading the Dallas Cowboys back to the Super Bowl, a feat that has eluded the franchise for years. With a revamped and deeper offense, the quarterback will have crucial weapons to make a decisive push in the highly competitive NFC.
