Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason were all over social media on Tuesday night when they teased then announced their special guest for this coming Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
After posting on the official @NewHeights X account “We’ve got LITERALLY our biggest guest ever on tomorrow’s show … any guesses? NEW EPISODE OUT TOMORROW!!!” the brothers posted a video teaser two hours later announcing that Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal would be on Wednesday’s podcast.
In the video, O’Neal played the song “I Knew You Were Trouble” — the 2012 smash hit from Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift off her “Red” album. O’Neal even admitted the tune was his “favorite song in the world.”
But what caught most fans’ eye was the joy on Travis’ face as he danced and sang along to the song, and the fact that he knew the version Shaq played was Swift’s original version and not her re-recorded “Taylor’s Version.”
Fans flocked to X to rave about Kelce’s support of his 14-time Grammy-winning girlfriend and applaud him for unashamedly celebrating Swift recently buying back the master recordings of her first six albums.
“This man is loving her out loud. The noise you make haters are just useless whispers. 😁,” one fan wrote.
“Idk how people hate him like all he does is show love and support for his girlfriend 😭,” another fan stated.
“He really charms me whenever he Swifties out. that’s the way it should be,” a third fan acknowledged.
“You think he has done the cutest most supportive thing ever…and he tops it 😭,” one user shared.

“This 9 second clip portrays more love, respect, companionship etc etc than 98% of ‘famous’ couples posing w engagement rings or posting selfies together, I’m eternally gagged,” another user declared.
“#1 swiftie and I will defend him w sword and armor bc I knowwww my girl’s happiest days are thanks to this goof,” one fan exclaimed.
“Haven’t smiled this big since Eras. We needed this,” remarked another fan.
Swift announced last week that she had purchased the masters for “Taylor Swift,” “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” “Red,” “1989” and “Reputation” in a deal that reportedly cost her $360 million, according to Billboard.
Hours after the deal was announced, “Reputation,” which was released back in 2017 hit No. 1 on the iTunes chart, dethroning Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem.”
