The Miami Dolphins have one major need left following the 2025 NFL Draft: cornerback. With Jalen Ramsey, the three-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro-Bowler, on his way out of South Beach, the Dolphins’ need for a cornerback is immense.
A bit of good news happened for the Dolphins on Monday afternoon, as the Green Bay Packers released veteran cornerback and Pro-Bowler Jaire Alexander after not finding a trade partner.
With the Dolphins in need of a new cornerback once Ramsey is gone, there was reasonable speculation that they’d be in on the new free agent.
However, a report from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald put a stop to those expectations. According to Jackson, “Despite a glaring need at cornerback, the Dolphins were not among the half dozen teams that reached out to former Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander.”
