Novak Djokovic has certainly regained confidence thanks to his results at Geneva ATP 250 and Roland Garros. The former world No. 1 lifted his 100th trophy of his never-ending career in Switzerland and reached the semifinals in the second Major of the season, losing only to Jannik Sinner before waving to the crowd and admitting that he may have played his last match in Paris.

However – in an interview in the following days – the 24-time Grand Slam champion confided that he plans to continue playing for a long time and that he is motivated by the idea of being able to participate in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 (when he will be 41 years old).

Everyone knows that the continuation of Nole’s career will depend a lot on the results he achieves in the last two Slams of this season. The 38-year-old from Belgrade is focused above all on the Wimbledon Championships, where he hopes to make tennis history again and deny all those who consider him a finished player.

He will also try to do the feat at the US Open, where he triumphed for the last time in 2023 by beating Daniil Medvedev in the final. Novak will also play mixed doubles before the start of the last Major of the season, joining forces with Olga Danilovic during the fan week.

Nole will move to Greece

Meanwhile, Djokovic is also starting to think about his life after tennis. A few days ago, the news leaked that the Serbian veteran will move his residence to Greece after the US Open. Nole is serious about buying a house in Athens and will benefit from the Golden Visa, having already met Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The former world No.1 has always had a very close connection with his country, but his relationship with Serbian President Vukic has worsened in recent times after Novak expressed his support for people who were protesting against the government.

Djokovic is truly an icon in Serbia and his victory at the Paris Olympics last year brought an entire country to a standstill.
