Postgame Handshake Between Tua Tagovailoa, Jordan Love Captures Attention

The Green Bay Packers emerged victorious in the Wisconsin cold on Thanksgiving night, defeating the Miami Dolphins, who continued to struggle in cold weather. The Dolphins trailed Green Bay for the entirety of the game, unable to find their rhythm in the frigid conditions.

With the win, the Packers improved to 9-3 and are closing in on a postseason berth, while also keeping pace with the first-place Detroit Lions. On the other hand, the Dolphins fell to 5-7, and now face a plethora of must-win situations if they hope to make a late-season playoff push.

Miami’s struggles in freezing temperatures have been well-documented, and it remains a consistent issue for the team, as well as for starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa since he entered the NFL.

Despite the tough loss, both Tagovailoa and Packers quarterback Jordan Love showed mutual respect for each other, visibly showing admiration for one another in their postgame handshake following Green Bay’s win at Lambeau Field.

Check it out:

The winning quarterback, Jordan Love, was highly efficient, completing 21 of his 28 passing attempts for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Green Bay also rushed for over 100 yards as a team on the ground.

While Tua Tagovailoa began to find a rhythm in the second half, it was too little, too late for the Dolphins to overcome the significant deficit they had dug themselves into.

The former Alabama star finished the game completing 37 of his 46 passing attempts, many of which came late in the game, for 365 yards and two touchdowns. However, Tagovailoa was sacked five times, while Love was not sacked at all. An early muffed punt also put Miami in a hole right from the start, denying them a clean first offensive possession.

Playing on the road in freezing temperatures that clearly favored the home team, early struggles proved costly for the Dolphins. While they played much better in the second half, they trailed 24-3 at halftime—a hole too deep to climb out of on Thanksgiving night.
