The Miami Dolphins signed Tyreek Hill to a massive four-year $120 million contract extension when they traded for him back in 2020. The receiver is now speaking out about his future with the team and the potential for a new deal with his current one expiring after the 2026 season.
On the Glory Daze podcast, hosted by Johnny Manziel, Hill had a lot to say about looking for a new deal.
“I’m very grateful. I want to be in Miami. My mindset is being in Miami,” Hill said. “To me, I don’t even have to be the highest-paid [receiver], I just want to win ballgames and take advantage of being in this great organization.”

Hill’s wish to stay in Miami long term may surprise some after previously expressing a desire to leave the team back in January following an 8-9 season.
“I’m opening the door. I’m out bruh,” Hill said.
The Dolphins’ superstar later clarified the comments.
“What y’all had heard at the end of the season was frustration,” Hill said. “I’ve been winning my whole life, bruh. Y’all don’t understand, I bust my a** every day.”
The former Kansas City Chief is hoping for a turnaround in 2025 following a losing season that came after two straight playoff appearances. Hill turned 31 years old this offseason and is coming off of his least productive season since 2019, when he played in just 12 games.
With Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle locked up on massive deals through 2028, the Dolphins could look to keep Hill on a similar timeline or let him walk to open up cap space.
