FRISCO — Like a lot of NFL receivers, CeeDee Lamb loves to mix some flash with his dash. The Dallas Cowboys’ All-Pro is fast and sleek on the field, and he loves to take that same image to the streets.
After signing his rookie contract in 2020, Lamb treated himself to a splashy reward: a custom, $250,000 Lamborghini Urus SUV, complete with orange and carbon-fiber finish and a 900-horsepower V8 twin-turbo engine. His Lambo can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 mph.
Like Lamb running routes, his car turns heads and demands attention. In his garage he also boasts a Jeep Trackhawk and a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
But that spotlight — that display of success and opulent wealth — sometimes spawns jealousy, resentment and even anger. To that point, one of Lamb’s cars was recently vandalized — with the passenger window being smashed.
He took his frustration to his social media, posting a photo on his Instagram with a couple of warnings in the caption.
Wrote Lamb, “So to whomever did this … Hope it was worth it, my boys.”
It’s not clear exactly which car was defaced, as the photo appears to show a silver or gray vehicle, which could be his Lambo. Lamb then posted a grainy surveillance camera shot of a potential suspect’s car with a plea to the public.
Wrote Lamb, “Whoever knows this lil (expletive) & license plate, run it.”
Last August he signed a new four-year, $136 million contract. The Cowboys open training camp in Oxnard, California, in less than a month, with Lamb learning to mesh with new teammate George Pickens.
