Following the signing of Aaron Rodgers, a veteran wide receiver wants to play with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the upcoming season.
The Steelers added star receiver DK Metcalf via a trade with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason, but the team could use more depth at the position after trading away George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.
With Rodgers talking about retirement in 2026, this is the season for the Steelers to be all-in on trying to win a Super Bowl.

During his appearance at a local youth camp on Saturday, Tyler Boyd told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he would love to sign with the Steelers for the upcoming season.
“Absolutely,” Boyd said. “All my family is here. I’d be able to have the majority of them be able to support me.”
Boyd, 30, grew up in Clairton, Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers from 2013-2015 before being drafted by the Steelers’ AFC North rival, the Cincinnati Bengals, in the second round of the 2016 draft.
Tyler Boyd has a connection with Mike Tomlin
Boyd claims he has a strong relationship with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.
“I’m real cool with (Mike) Tomlin,” he said. “He’s always been a good person… When I was at Pitt, we had a good relationship. After practice, I’d walk over there, talk to (Antonio Brown) and those guys, talk to Tomlin, and he’d just pick at different things–where I could get better and get some guidance.
“I think we had a great friendship. If it happens, it happens. If not, it is what it is.”
Boyd has played in 136 games and has recorded 552 receptions for 6,390 yards, and 31 touchdowns. His production decreased with the Tennessee Titans in 2024, recording just 39 receptions for 390 yards.
Given the Titans’ struggles at quarterback last season, Boyd’s numbers shouldn’t be too concerning.
