New York Jets star risks huge fine with shocking social media rant at NFL refs after loss to Seattle: ‘You f***ing suck!’
In the aftermath of yet another soul crushing defeat, New York Jets cornerback DJ Reed took to social media to put the officials on blast in a move that is almost surely going to lead to him getting fined.
After starting the season 2-1, the Jets have now lost nine of their last ten games. But Sunday’s defeat to the Seattle Seahawks may have been the final nail in the coffin.
Rather than look internally at the team’s collapse, Reed decided to point the finger square at the officiating crew of Carl Cheffers, Dyrol Prioleau, Martin Hankins, Mike Carr, Nathan Jones, Robin DeLorenzo, and Brandon Cruse.
The Jets were hit with 12 penalties for 83 yards of losses on the day – compared to Seattle’s five penalties for 50 yards.
‘@NFLOfficiating you FXCKING suck, yall should be ashamed of yall selves.!,’ Reed tweeted moments after the game concluded.
NFL fans were quick to laugh at Reed’s comments saying that the Jets have many more problems to worry about than the officiating.

‘Y’all are 3-9,’ read one of the replies to Reed’s tweet.
Another said, ‘My brother in christ you play for the Jets. You legally aren’t allowed to tell others they suck.’
A Seahawks fan posted, ‘We really running this excuse? That was easily the worst game of football I’ve seen from the Seahawks in the past 10 years. The fact you guys couldn’t win that is beyond pathetic.’
Sportscaster Trey Wingo commented, ‘This….is going to be an expensive tweet.’
One Jets fan said, ‘Fine gonna be nasty but he’s gonna get paid by a good team next year so it’s all good.’
Other Jets fans defended Reed’s position. One said, ‘Finally a player is calling them out. I’m sorry for your pockets because they’re gonna fine the s**t out of you, but nothing changes if the players don’t demand a change.’
‘Here for this but team sucks so whatever,’ said a second Jets fan, while a third commented, ‘He’s not wrong.’
While some Jets players may feel slighted by the referees, it doesn’t change the fact that Gang Green failed to score in the final two-and-a-half quarters of the game.

Jets kick returner Kene Nwangwu brought a kickoff back 99 yards for a touchdown with 10:40 remaining in the second quarter to give the Jets a 21-7 lead.
Up by two touchdowns, the Jets likely hoped that they could be able to build on their lead – or at least go into halftime without any further damage.
Instead, quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw an interception that was returned 92-yards for a touchdown by former Jets player Leonard Williams. On their next drive, Seattle kicker Jason Myers made it 21-16 game going into the second half.
After a scoreless third quarter, the Seahawks managed to cut the lead to two points with a field goal.
On their next drive, Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet punched in an eight-yard touchdown run to take a 26-21 lead.
With limited time remaining, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers couldn’t produce anything and they turned the ball over on downs to lose the game.
This season, the Jets are 0-5 in situations where Rodgers had the chance to produce a game-winning drive.
Next up for the Jets is a trip to Miami to take on the divisional rival Dolphins next Sunday.
