“So grateful Novak Djokovic beat you in Wimbledon”; “Such a sad person”: Fans react as Nick Kyrgios continues attacking Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek
Nick Kyrgios recently throwing shade at Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek amid their doping row has sparked discussions among tennis fans. Many of them have been irked by the Aussie’s incessant attacks on the two players.
Kyrgios, who has been out of action for a long time due to injury struggles, announced that he would be kicking off his return at the Brisbane International. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to update his fans about his training sessions and also remarked how he was proud to continue his recovery without failing drug tests.
The Aussie has expressed his disapproval of the ‘No Significant Fault or Negligence’ verdicts of Sinner and Swiatek on many occasions.
“Feels good getting these consecutive days training in the bank man…. Wrist re construction and back out here… blessed………………Without failing any drug tests, be proud kygs doing it the right way,” he tweeted.
Fans were irked by the 29-year-old’s continuous attacks on the two players. One fan expressed gratitude to Novak Djokovic for defeating Nick Kyrgios in the final of Wimbledon 2022, the Aussie’s only Grand Slam final in singles.
“I am so grateful Novak Djokovic beat you in Wimbledon final, thanks Nole!” the fan commented.

Here are a few more reactions from tennis fans.
“I promise, if he fails a drug test next year, it will be the funniest thing ever,” a fan wrote.
“when you are playing 1 match in 2 years you do not have to worry,” a fan quipped.
“It would be nice to see you on the field against Sinner at AO. But I recommend if it happens bring an extra bag of rackets because I think you’ll be forced to break a lot. Or you could retire earlier, you’d look better,” a fan said.
“I think I’ve worked out his shtick. He thinks the reason why he’s been a flop is because everyone’s cheating except him serious victim complex,” a fan joked.
Nick Kyrgios attacks Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek after a fan sarcastically calls for legalization of banned drugs
Recently, an X user sarcastically called for the legalization of Clostebol, the drug Jannik Sinner tested positive for, and Trimetazidine, the drug Iga Swiatek tested positive for, so that all players could have an even field.
“I would request that the @itia_tennis make Clostebol and Trimetazidine (TMZ) legal for all Tennis players to take in 2025. It’s important that ALL Tennis players have a level playing field. @atptour @WTA,” the fan wrote.
However, Nick Kyrgios responded he preferred sleeping in peace knowing that his achievements came without “cheating.”
“No thanks. How about we just don’t have people cheating – and can look at themselves in the mirror and sleep knowing they’ve accomplished things without no bullshit,” Kyrgios replied.
Andy Roddick, who has shown his support for Sinner and Swiatek in these trying times, was seemingly accused by Nick Kyrgios of taking performance-enhancing drugs during his career.
