Female NFL referee Sarah Thomas is being accused of setting the Kansas City Chiefs to win for Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs haven’t been that great this season, but they are still 9-0. They have come back to win games from seemingly impossible situations to keep their streak alive.
Swift was at Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, which ended with a miraculous blocked kick that saved the game for KC.
NFL fans have been accusing the NFL of rigging games for the defending champions, and that one of their refs was reported to have met up with Taylor before the game on Sunday added fuel to the fire.
“Sarah Thomas, the down judge (ref) for today’s Chiefs/Broncos game, briefly met with Taylor Swift before the game,” Kansas reporter Landon Reinhardt tweeted on the day. “She was on FaceTime with family and I heard her say, ‘Did you get that screenshot?’“
Fans Immediately Accused The Down Judge Of Rigging The Game For Taylor Swift And The Chiefs
Of course, the above set fans off…
“A pregame meet and greet with Taylor Swift outside the Chiefs locker room IS A BRIBE. This needs to be investigated and she should never see an NFL field again!” one declared.
“Not a surprise. The NFL, league offices and the Shield love them some KC Chiefs,” said a second.
“She threw a flag for no reason except maybe it gave the Chiefs time to regroup,” a third added. “The flag was picked up. I said to my TV. I wonder if she is a Taylor Swift fan. The TV didn’t answer. But later I read things like this on X.”
The Chiefs will play some stern opposition this weekend, with a game against the Buffalo Bills scheduled for Sunday.
Just about everyone will have an eye on this one.
