The six-year-old, adored by fellow fans online for his heartfelt renditions of iconic LFC chants, was engrossed in a game of Snakes and Ladders.
Unbeknownst to him, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk was walking through the halls of Northwood Primary School, heading straight towards him.
Isaac, who was born with the rare genetic disorder Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, which causes him to develop at a slower pace than other children his age, has captured the hearts of many on social media. His love for Liverpool and his energetic renditions of club anthems on a toy guitar have made him a viral sensation.
After the initial shock of meeting the towering Van Dijk wore off, Isaac was in for another surprise. Mohamed Salah walked over to his desk, showing him his teddy bears – Virgil and Mo – which accompany Isaac to school each day.
The teddies provide comfort to him during his school day, and now, the real-life versions were standing before him.
This special visit was organized by Liverpool FC as part of the club’s celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities in December.
