Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has always embraced his unique personality. He’s always stayed true to himself, whether on the court alongside his teammates or off it.
Take earlier this year, for example. Butler was spotted casually riding a horse through the streets of Miami. The clip made rounds on social media, and while it turned out to be part of an Essentia Hydroboost campaign, the moment was classic Butler. No one else but Butler could make that look normal.
While he didn’t do it this season, over the last couple of media days, he showed up with a brand-new hairstyle to have a little fun with his headshot photo.
And then there’s his coffee hustle during the NBA bubble. While other players were busy fishing or vlogging, Butler decided to open a coffee business out of his hotel room. “Bigface” coffee was born, and he charged $20 a cup.
You never know what life will lead to but it’s important to continue to be yourself and try new things.
On Friday, Butler’s unique personality led to a monumental moment for himself, opening his first official storefront for the “Bigface.” In a collaborative post made by Butler and @bigfacebrand, they revealed the news.
“BIGFACE, a new frontier in coffee by @jimmybutler, has officially opened in the @miamidesigndistrict,” they wrote. “40 NE 40TH Street.”
Butler, a 14-year veteran, is currently averaging 18.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. The 6-foot-7 forward was drafted with the 30th overall selection back in the 2011 NBA draft.
He played his college ball for the Marquette Golden Eagles and remained up north for the first half of his NBA career. He had stints with the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers before heading down to Miami in 2019.
